Discrimination can be a major contributor to depression amongst LGBTQ+ students. According to a recent study, advocacy groups, also known as Gender-Sexuality Alliances (GSAs), can help to promote wellness among LGTBQ+ students and reduce disparities in depression rates between those students and their heterosexual peers.
