For generations, the neighborhood barbershop has served as a meeting place and social respite for black men and boys, who can pick up wisdom from their neighbors as well as a haircut and shave. Now, groups like the Confess Project wants to help barbershops double as mental health centers where black men can comfortably discuss issues among peers. Read more about this project here.
