It feels like a lifetime ago that I took part in a Christmas Tag… so this year I decided to create my own! Feel free to share and take part.
Where do you spend the holidays?
My Christmas Day is always super busy and has us going here there and everywhere. This year, I will see my parents and little brother on Christmas morning before heading to my nans with them. Then I am having Christmas Dinner with Jake and his mums side of the family before going to spend the night with his dad’s side of the family for drinks and games. Then on Boxing Day we have dinner with my mum and dad, followed by drinks and karaoke!
What is your favourite Christmas movie?
Okay… so I have a top three!
A classic: It’s A Wonderful Life
A cutie: Grandma Got Ran Over by A Reindeer
A feel good: Polar Express
Favourite Christmas Song?
Another classic – Fairytale of New York
A Christmas Tradition that you love!
This is a new tradition for us, but it is super cute and it is one of the only things that I am looking forward to this year…
We go to our friends house (Euan & Gemmas) and exchange our Christmas gifts for each other there with good food and good company!
Do you open presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Other than the ones we exchange with friends on Christmas Eve, all other gifts are opened on Christmas morning! Super early as I am an early birdie when it comes to Christmas.
Favourite Festive Food?
Pork crackling with the roast dinner!
Favourite Christmas Treat?
So… I know you can get these all year round, but for me these are strictly a Christmas goodie! After Eight Mints… there is always a box in the middle of the dinner table and we always end up playing the game where you place one on your forehead and try to wriggle it down and catch it in your mouth!
What is your favourite Christmas ornament this year?
This year we have a new ornament on the tree! It is a white ceramic piece which reads ‘Our Last Year as Mr & Miss 2023!’
It is crazy that we will be celebrating our first Christmas as Husband & Wife next year!
Do you have an advent calendar this year? If so, what one?
I actually have two this year! My sister from another mister and Chief Bridesmaid, Beth, got me a super cute English Tea advent calendar! Each day reveals a different flavoured tea bag and so far they have all been delicious!
My other one is off of Jake and it is a Kinder Bueno one, a nice little sweet treat that I tend to have in the middle, or end of my day!
Does your Christmas tree have a theme?
Absolutely not.
While our bauble colours are all pink and silver, there are lots of random, fun and sentimental pieces on there too! I do think once me and Jake have our own place there will be a little bit more of a theme to it… but I also intend to keep all the little sentimental and unique pieces that we have for it too!
